Alita: Battle Angel is a science fiction thriller film. It is based on “Battle Angel Alita” by Yukito Kishiro the 1990’s manga series from Japan. Titanic and Avatar movie director the Legendary James Cameron produced it also worked for the screenplay. The co-producer is Jon Landau. American filmmaker Robert Anthony Rodriguez directed this cyberpunk action movie. Long ago in the year 2003, Cameron announced it but delayed as Cameron was working on Avatar (2009) and the sequel of Avatar. After being in the development hell for years finally in 2016 Robert has been announced as director and the output has been premiered at the Odeon Leicester Square on 31st January 2019 and theatrically released in the United States on 14th February 2019.
The total runtime of the film is 122 minutes. The making cost of the film is $170 million and it collected $405 million in the box office worldwide. It is distributed by 20th Century Fox and the production companies are Lightstorm Entertainment, 20th Century Fox, Troublemaker Studios and TSG Entertainment. The film received positive reviews from the viewers and mixed reviews from the critics. IMDb rated this 7.4/10. The casts are Christoph Waltz, Rosa Salazar, Jennifer Connelly, Ed Skrein, Mahershala Ali, Jackie Early Haley, Keean Johnson.
