Cricket has long been a popular sport, but it has often played second fiddle to the likes of football and rugby. Certainly, when it comes to football, this is perhaps the most popular sport in the world and this is reflected by the active betting market that exists. The thing is though, cricket is starting to make up some ground. Viewing figures are on the up and the number of people placing bets is increasing too. This is largely thanks to the IPL which is the most-attended cricket league in the world<\/a>, but the IPL doesn\u2019t tell the full story.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re going to take a look at why cricket is seeing a resurgence in popularity. It is experiencing a level of popularity that it has never seen before and these figures are only going one way.<\/p>\n
